Traffic Stop Near Bend Turns Into Drug Bust

A traffic stop by Oregon State Police lead to a drug arrest. Troopers pulled over an SUV for a lane use violation on northbound US 97 near milepost 132, just north of Bend. Criminal activity was suspected, so the trooper searched the vehicle, and found about 10 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and approximately five pounds of suspected powder fentanyl after a K-9 alerted to the odor of controlled substances. 28 year old Dania Marbella Banegas-Ramos of Oakland, California was taken into custody.
