The Oregon Senate has passed Senate Bill 418…. the Expanded Workers’ Compensation Bill. It means injured workers will get paid for time spent at medical appointments and will no longer need to dip into vacation and sick time to get treated for their injuries. The state Senate unanimously passed the bill late Monday. The measure now goes to the House. The measure had strong support from unions that represent frontline workers, including those who work in health care, manufacturing, food processing and the retail industry.
