More Wildfires Due to Hot Dry Conditions

Firefighters are said to be making good progress on most of the wildfires caused by recent thunderstorms. Two new fires were discovered on the Forest Wednesday, but they were suppressed. Both fires are staffed and remain small, less than a tenth of an acre in size. More fires may be detected throughout the next few days as weather conditions continue to stay warm and dry. Hot and dry conditions are expected to persist throughout the week. Fire officials remind everyone that the current fire danger rating remains at HIGH and Public Use Restrictions involving chainsaw use are in effect.
