$5 Million Allocated for Clean School Buses

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean School Bus Program has awarded nearly $5 million to two school districts in Oregon. The grants will help school districts purchase more than 14 clean school buses that they say will accelerate the transition to zero-emissions vehicles and produce cleaner air in and around schools and communities. Banks School District will receive a little over $4.3 Million for 11 electric school buses. Prospect School District will receive a little more than $1,1 Million for three electric school buses. The school districts who received an award can now proceed with purchasing the new buses.
