They’re doing it again this year… La Grande Police will be holding their annual Shop With a Cop event on Sunday, December 13th at 11am at Walmart. 15 kids in grades 1-6 have been selected from the local schools to participate in this year’s program… all chosen by school staff based on a financial need or as children who would benefit from positive interaction with police officers. Each selected child will be partnered with a police officer and will be given $150 to spend Christmas shopping for their immediate family. Each of them will also be able to purchase a gift for themselves, and they will also get some generous gifts from Walmart and other community partners.
